Most of the south coast resorts on Majorca have a good selection of sandy
beaches, and Paguera is no different offering visitors a choice of 3 called
"Playa Palmira", "Playa Tora" and "Playa La Romana". These beaches are all then
joined by a fairly new traffic free pedestrian promenade running the length of
the resort. During the summer months all 3 beaches can become very busy,
although in all fairness to the local council, they are usually kept very clean.
Behind the promenade there's a long shopping street know as locally "El
Bulevar", and it's here where most of the restaurants and bars seem to be
concentrated. Paguera has an excellent selection of souvenir shops and Spar type
supermarkets, which are supported with others selling local arts and crafts and
famous designer label clothes.
Based in Paguera, Cruceros Cormoran offers a variety of both 2 and 4 hour
cruises along the south coast of Mallorca, calling at the nearby resorts of Camp
de Mar and Santa Ponsa. Contact details for more information are:

A number of boat trip operate out of Paguera, including glass bottomed boats
that run along the coast, and others that run over to the nature reserve at
Dragonera island. The Dragonera Natural Park and the Dragonera Island, is really
a 6km long rock that is named because of its likeness to a dragon's back rising
out of the water. In 1987 this area of the island was designated a natural
conservation area, and has since then enjoyed the protection of the Majorca
Council from commercial development. Once there, visitors can visit the small
museum and see the remains of a Roman settlement at the Cova de sa Font.
Although at its nearest point the island is only 700 metres from the mainland,
separated by the ‘Es Freu' channel, private visits to the island are only
allowed with an official permit available from the local council offices.
For the more adventurous the village of Cala Fornells is a little over 1/2 an
hours walk away. The village is very picturesque and has a number of original
terracotta style houses. So, don't forget to take the camera!
Of special interest to tennis enthusiasts, the resort of Paguera is also home to
the most visited tennis venue on Mallorca. The Tennis Centre Paguera is truly
one of the top venues for tennis enthusiasts, professionals and families, and
are proud to include such famous names as Boris Becker, Charly Steeb, Tommy Haas
and Steffi Graf, as just a few of the professional tennis players who have
trained at their facility. Contact details for more information are:

By Majorcan standards, Paguera is well served by public transport. Buses run
into Magaluf and Illetas every 1/2 hour, and further afield into Palma and
Andraitx every 50 minutes or so.
One of the most popular evening attractions with all nationalities in the south
of the island is the Pirates Adventure (Els Pirates), which is based on the
outskirts of Magaluf. It takes the form of a Dinner/Show with a pirate theme,
and has short dialogues in English throughout. The season commences early April
and runs through until the end of October, with performances most evenings.
In addition to the family show, there is also a special late night adults only
"Pirates Uncut" performance. Contact details for more information and bookings
