Hotel Alicia - Cala Bona

Part of the Protur Group of hotels, the 4 star rated Hotel Alicia has an enviable seafront location, almost midway between the popular resorts Cala Bona and Cala Millor on the east coast of Majorca.

The hotel is approximately 65km north east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and 400 metres from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a picturesque harbour and selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1972 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2015, the modern low rise Hotel Alicia has a total of 185 guest rooms which are built over 5 floors and set amidst almost 1,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces overlooking the pedestrianised promenade and Cala Bona's sandy/rocky beach.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, high speed WiFi internet access, a satellite television with international channels, a safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have either pool or sea views.

In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services and both luggage and courtesy rooms with toilets and showers for late departures, along with a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a smaller indoor heated pool‚ open during the cooler winter months, with Jacuzzi, cardiovascular gymnasium and sauna.

Guests staying at the Hotel Alicia are also welcome to use the sporting and leisure facilities at the nearby Floriana resort, which includes a large multi-purpose sports pitch, which can be used for various sporting activities including tennis‚ basketball and five-a-side football, as well as 10 clay surface tennis courts.

Guests staying at the Hotel Alicia also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the nearby 3,500m2 Biomar Spa, which features a selection of hydrothermal facilities including a heated indoor swimming pool with sauna, Jacuzzi and cardiovascular gymnasium, as well as offering a variety of other cosmetic and beauty treatments including laser depilation and special massage treatments.

The Hotel Alicia also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring pistol shooting, pool games and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
