Below are listed the local events, fiestas and public holidays that we are aware of. Most fiestas will normally take place on the same dates each year, however, the programme of events is often not finalised until a few days beforehand:

January	1	New Years Day - Public Holiday
	5	The arrival of the Three Kings and worship of the baby Jesus.
	6	Feast of The Epiphany - Public Holiday
	16-17	Fiesta of Sant Antoni Abat the patron saint of animals. The event begins with the lighting of small bonfires, which the local residents sit around and sing traditional songs and roast "botifarrons", which are locally made blood sausages. The following day there is a colourful parade, culminating in the blessing of the animals.
February	1	Sant Ignasi d'Antioquia: A religious commemoration of the ending of a plague that ravaged the town in 1820.
March	1	Balearics Day - Public Holiday
Lent		The Carnival Fiestas begin on the Thursday before Lent (Dijous Llarder), and continue until Ash Wednesday (Dimecres de Cendra).
Easter		The festivities of Easter usually begin on Holy Thursday with a parade to the sound of drums and horns through the streets. On Good Friday a parade takes place through the streets and the body of Christ is carried inside a tomb at the Church of Sant Joan Bautista. On Easter Sunday morning people meet at the Plaza de Sant Joan and witness the drama of Christ's death followed by the joy of his resurrection..
May	1	May Day - Public Holiday
June	24	Fiesta of Sant Joan Bautista, the patron saint of Son Servera. The activities usually begin with an open air dinner, known as the "Prego de les festes", followed by many other sporting events such as a night race, "ball de bot" (a Majorcan folk dance), and a great fireworks display in honour to the saint.
July	16	Fiesta of the Mare de Deu del Carme in Cala Bona. Along with the usual selection of parades and musical events, this Fiesta also includes a maritime procession in honour of the Patron Saint of seafarers and fishermen.
August	15	Ascension Day - Public Holiday
September		The annual Tourism Festival usually takes place during the last full week of September. Jointly organised by the councils of Son Servera and Sant Llorenc and the Hotel Association Bay of Cala Millor, this event features a number of sports competitions, concerts, and a spectacular and colourful parade of floats through the town.
October	12	Fiesta Nacional de Espana - Public Holiday
November	1	All Saints Day - Public Holiday
December	6	Constitution Day - Public Holiday
	8	Immaculate Conception - Public Holiday
	25	Christmas Day - Public Holiday
	26	St Stephen Day - Public Holiday
