Hotel Aguamarina - Arenal d'en Castell

The 3 star Hotel Aguamarina has an enviable beach front location in the popular resort of Arenal d'en Castell on the rugged north coast of Menorca. The hotel is approximately 20km north west of the capital Mahon and the International Aeropuerto de Menorca, and around 400 metres from the centre of the resort, where you will find a small selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1974 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2007, the modern low rise Hotel Aguamarina has a total of 523 guest rooms, offering a choice of both standard twin rooms and Suites, which are distributed between 2 four and five storey buildings, and set amidst almost 35,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the bay.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a safety deposit box available for rental, direct dial telephone, satellite television, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have panoramic sea views. In addition to the above features, a daily maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms with showers for late departures, along with public internet terminals, a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, a supermarket, hairdressing salon, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests include a choice of four large outdoor freshwater swimming pools, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens overlooking the bay which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club, along with a well equipped cardiovascular gymnasium, miniature golf course, hard surface tennis courts, and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Aguamarina also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring petanque, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
