Hotel Audax - Cala Galdana

Part of the R T M Group of hotels, the 4 star Hotel Audax has an enviable front line location overlooking the beach in the popular resort of Cala Galdana on the central south coast of Menorca. The hotel is approximately 35km west of the capital Mahon and the International Aeropuerto de Menorca airport, and 50 metres from the commercial centre of the resort where you will find a small selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1972 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2008, the modern Hotel Audax has a total of 244 guest rooms, including 203 standard twin rooms, 36 singles, and a further 5 Junior Suites, which are built over 7 floors and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the magnificent Bay of Cala Galdana.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television, mini-bar, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea.

In addition to the above features, Suites at the Hotel Audax also feature a lounge area and bathroom with Jacuzzi, and all guest rooms at the hotel are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms with showers for late departures, along with public internet terminals with high speed WiFi access available in many public areas, a games room, two air conditioned buffet style restaurants with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Audax also offers the use of three large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, all of which are equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids, including a 60" screen and high speed WiFi internet access.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults and spacious sun terraces and gardens overlooking the bay, which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes two clay surface tennis courts, and both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Hotel Audax also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own 700m2 Spa and Wellness Centre, offering guests a wide selection of relaxation, therapeutic and slimming treatments including a steam bath, multi-jet showers, a massage service, seaweed and mud treatments, along with a fully equipped cardiovascular gymnasium.

The Hotel Audax also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, featuring mountain bike and kayak tours, as well as evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

In recognition of the R T M Group's high standards of environmental management and management systems, the Hotel Audax has been awarded the internationally recognised certificates of ISO 14001:2004, and ISO 9001:2000 Certificate for Quality, as well as the Spanish Tourism Quality Institute "Q" quality mark which is only granted to establishments which meet the highest standards of continuous improvement in all services.
