The 4 star Hotel Son Matias Beach has an enviable front line location, overlooking the wide sandy Son Matias beach, in one of the quieter areas of the otherwise lively resort of Palma Nova on the south west coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 25km west of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and 250 metres from the commercial centre of the resort where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife.

Built in 1970 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2014, the modern Hotel Son Matias Beach has a total of 135 guest rooms, including 126 standard twin rooms and a further 9 Suites, which are built over 9 floors, and set amidst almost 300m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the magnificent Bay of Palma.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either centrally heated or air conditioned according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a safety deposit box available for rental, direct dial telephone, satellite television, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have panoramic views across the bay.

In addition to the above features, 3 Suites at the Hotel Son Matias Beach have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms with showers for late departures, along with a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals with high speed WiFi access available in selected areas, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, and spacious sun terraces overlooking the bay that are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a Jacuzzi and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Son Matias Beach also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring petanque, archery and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

In recognition of the hotels' high standards of environmental management, the Hotel Son Matias Beach has been awarded the internationally recognised certificate of ISO 14001:2004, as well as the Spanish Tourism Quality Institute "Q" quality mark which is only granted to establishments which meet the highest standards of continuous improvement in all services.

Guest should be aware that the Hotel Son Matias Beach operates an adults only policy, and that bookings will not be accepted for children under the age of 16 at the time of arrival.
