Hotel Caballero - Playa de Palma

Part of the B G Group of hotels, the 3 star Hotel Caballero is situated around 175 metres from the beach in the Sometimes district of the lively resort of Playa de Palma on the central southern coast of Majorca. The hotel is approximately 8km east of the capital Palma, 3km south east of the Son Sant Joan International airport, and a few steps from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1972 and extensively renovated during the winter of 2003, the Hotel Caballero has a total of 308 guest rooms, including 266 twin rooms and a further 42 singles, which are built over 7 floors and set amidst 4,000m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with a direct dial telephone, ceiling fan, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests the Hotel Caballero also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, which is fully equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground and mini club, along with a smaller indoor heated pool, a hard surface tennis court, a mini golf course and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Caballero also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
