Hotel Bahamas - S'Arenal

Part of the Azuline group of hotels, the 3 star rated Hotel Bahamas is situated at the edge of a pinewood, around 600 metres from the beach, in the popular resort of S'Arenal on the central south coast of Majorca.

The hotel is approximately 15km east of the capital Palma, 8km east of the Son Sant Joan International airport, and 200 metres from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1972 and extensively renovated during the winter of 2015, the Hotel Bahamas has a total of 239 guest rooms, including 216 twin rooms, 18 singles and a further 5 Suites, all of which are built over 6 floors overlooking a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a modern "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, high speed WiFi internet access, a satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area.

In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian dishes, as well as a games room, laundry and medical services, public internet terminals with WiFi in selected areas of the hotel, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces which are furnished with loungers and parasols.

Guests staying at the Hotel Bahamas also also welcome to use the hotels' own Fitness Area, which features a cardiovascular gymnasium with sauna and Jacuzzi.

Of special interest to cyclists, the Hotel Bahamas also offers a "Bike Pack" service which includes a daily picnic and the free use of the sauna twice weekly, along with a specially adapted area for storing, maintaining and repairing bicycles, which is equipped with individual security fittings, as well as a selection of basic cleaning and repair tools.

The Hotel Bahamas also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring boules, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
