Aparthotel Zafiro Tropic - Alcudia

Part of the prestigious Zafiro Group of hotels, the 4 star rated Aparthotel Zafiro Tropic is situated around 200 metres from the beach, in the popular resort of Puerto de Alcudia on the north coast of Majorca.

The hotel is approximately 60km north of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport and 300 metres from the harbour and Alcudia resort centre with its selection of shops, bars restaurant and nightlife.

Built in 1989 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2009, the modern low rise Aparthotel Zafiro Tropic has a total of 340 guest rooms, offering a choice of both one and two bedroom self catering apartments and a further selection of studio flats, all of which are built over 5 floors and set amidst almost 6,500m2 of Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms on the complex are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with an open plan kitchenette with electric cooking rings and refrigerator, a combined lounge/dining room with additional sofa beds, as well as a direct dial telephone, high speed WiFi intenet access, a satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area.

In addition to the above features, 18 apartments at the Aparthotel Zafiro Tropic have also been specially adapted for disabled guests, and all rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen every 3 days.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange desk and both luggage and courtesy rooms with showers for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, a supermarket, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Aparthotel Zafiro Tropic also offers the use of three large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, with the capacity to seat up to 50 guests, which are all equipped with a selection of modern audiovisual equipment.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with separate children's splash pool with Pirate Ship, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols.

Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and mini club, along with a multi sports activity area for football and volleyball etc, a mini golf course, and both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Aparthotel Zafiro Tropic also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Health & Fitness Centre, which features a smaller indoor heated pool with sauna, Jacuzzi and cardiovascular gymnasium, as well as offering a variety of other massage treatments.

Of special interest to cyclists, the Aparthotel Zafiro Tropic has a specially adapted area for the storing, maintaining and repairing bicycles, which is equipped with individual security fittings, as well as a selection of basic cleaning and repair tools.

The Aparthotel Zafiro Tropic also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
